  • This classic early American design combines the proportions and detailing common to early Capes built in the mid 18th century. It’s façade is simple and symmetrical with four windows, a single front door with a transom light above and large center chimney. Despite their simplicity, good early capes have a particular charm, character and coziness that results from their qualities of form, proportion and human scale. On the side elevation, care has been taken to retain these qualities while adding the modern day requirements for a two car carriage shed.
  • An open breezeway connects the house and garage and helps add the element of human scale to the rear house entrance. The attached garage is purposefully small to keep it in scale with the house, but quite adequate for two full-sized cars.
  • Despite its compact appearance, this home has a very comfortable open floor plan. On the first floor is a large eat-in country kitchen which flows into a dining room and family room with a single fireplace. The addition of a first floor bedroom gives the home added flexibility for a variety of uses. It has two comfortable bedrooms upstairs, each with their own bathroom. , The bonus room above the garage offers a 400 square feet of expansion space perfect space for an office, art studio or small workshop.
